Axial skeleton:

1. Skull: The skull is a bony structure that encloses and protects the brain. It is made up of various cranial and facial bones that are connected together. The cranium, or brain box, is another name for it.

Cranium: The cranium's bones are flat and held together as it is zip tight. Its function is to act as a soltopicId protective shield to the brain.

2. Vertebral column:

The backbone is also known as the vertebral column. It is made up of a total of 33 tiny bones known as vertebrae. Only because of the existence of this bone can a person bend over.

The vertebral column serves as a protective framework for the spinal cord.

It is used to support the head.

It's a framework that connects the ribs to one another. It functions as a support and attachment point for the pectoral and pelvic girdles. It is in charge of the human skeleton's mobility. It assists in walking and standing upright.

An alternative name for this girdle is the pectoral girdle.

2. Arm bones: The upper limb is mainly composed of bones like the ulna, humerus, carpals, metacarpals, radius, and phalanges, which are connected by hinge joints that enable the limb to only move in one way.

In the upper arm, the humerus is present, while the forearm consists of the radius and ulna. Each wrist, palm, and finger is made up of three bones: the carpals, the metacarpals, and the phalanges.

3. Pelvic bones or pelvic girdle:

The pelvic girdle is another term used to describe the pelvic bone. It is made composed of sturdy bones that help to control the body's weight.

The rear of the pelvic girdle is made up of five fused vertebrae that create a hollow in the center before reaching the front section.

This is a structure that is beneath the stomach, on the lower part of the body. This bone is the sole reason a person can sit. This is a framework made up of strong bones that allows the body's total weight to be balanced.

A ball and socket joint connects the thigh bones to each end of the girdle.

Leg Bones :

The leg bones, also referred to as lower limbs, consist of the tibia, fibula, femur, tarsals, phalanges, and metatarsals. Hinge joints connect all of these bones, allowing the limb's movement in a single direction. Patella, or knee cap, is a cap-like structure that covers the knee.

The leg is made up of a tibia and fibula with thigh bone consisting of femur; foot containing metatarsals; ankle composed mainly of tarsals and toes comprising of phalanges.

Hip bones: Similar to shoulder bones, hip bones are generated by the fusing of three bones and have a flat and big structure. They are important because they atopicId in the formation of lengthy bone joints. It produces a big bony bowl called the pelvis when it joins the final two segments of the backbone.

Introduction of Cartilage and muscle

Cartilage and muscle are two more components that are part of the skeletal system.

Cartilage is the soft structure that lies between the skeleton's joints and the top region of the ear lobe.
